Short or Long?

So I'm getting my hair done next week... and you know when you have those moments in life where things just need to change and you think to yourself, ahhh... I'll cut my hair? Well, before I do anything drastic I want to take a vote. But first let me tell you a little bit about what I was thinking I could do:
  • Short: Here is a picture of me with short(er) hair but this is something for you to reference. However, I was thinking about a haircut that looked like this:

  • Long: If I keep my hair the way it is now, then I was thinking I might go a bit blonder... what do you think?

Just don't go too short! Keep it longer I say! You can ask me why if you want.

I say keep it long! I think it suits you really well.

I have always liked your hair better long. So I vote to keep it long. I like Katie Holmes picture... I'd love it if my hair would look like that if I cut it, but I know it wouldn't. The going blonder idea is a good one.

From a friend's blog:

HAIR IS A CLUE

"Oh you got your hair cut. It looks so cute. When did you get that done?"
"thanks. just the other day"
"do you like it?"
"yeah... but it is a little shorter than i ...."

you know the conversation. we've all had it in some form or another with a girlfriend. the other day, a similar conversation began with my friend. some how though, i began to explain that my hair styles go in phases according to my hope for marriage. silly, i know. but i explained how i am always trying to grow my hair out or keep it at a good length so that if the occasion of marriage may suddenly be possible in a few months, i would be able to pull it up in a fancy style. but unfortunately, there are times when i get tired of messing with long hair, and it becomes necessary to cut it all off. this, of course, usually aligns with the assurance that there is no possibility of marriage in future months. sometimes it can almost become a statement act in relation to personal circumstances.

my friend laughed in agreement as she expressed that she did the same thing too. we joked about it for awhile relieving what we thought were our own hidden agendas. but the kicker came later that night, when another friend joined the scene. i mentioned to her that her hair was getting quite long. she smile as she lightly stroked the ends of her hair and said something like, "it's part of the vision." we knew immediately what she was referring to - growing it out in the hopes that something was going to workout for her soon. again the laughter continued as we relished in our silly little ways.

after pondering it for awhile, i thought this would be a great clue for men to consider or at least something to pay attention to while dating someone. but then i remembered that most men usually have to have some kind of prompting or big hint given to them if they are going to consider continuing a relationship further into marriage, just like they usually have to be given some kind of hint or prompt that a girl has changed her hair. no offense intended, guys, just a little observation. so really girls, it doesn't matter. chop away.

Camille, Camille, Camille, that hair is NOT short. Not by any means. Short has to be ABOVE your shoulders, not below.

You can rock the long hair thing so do it if you want. However, in this blasted heat I would chop it off. Plus I love a kick a** bob, like that of Katie Holmes. They are sexy.

As for the up-do issue, don't worry girl! You can pull off a great up-do with a longer bob, if you should go there.

First of all I love that Sara said "a**"... that made my day. Second, I should let you all know that I kept my hair long... my hairdresser wouldn't hear of me cutting it since she reminded me I've spent so long growing it out... so it's the same (minus one inch). :) I LOVE the commentary on this though...
