Healthy

Being that I'm starting a new eating plan this week, this blog is an ode to the food I'm saying goodbye to that I've loved so much over the years, and a hello to the new food I will be enjoying.

Food I love and will be without...

1) Frosting (anyone who really knows me knows that one of my biggest weaknesses is frosting. As a kid I would eat it out of the can or squeeze tube- and ok, as an adult too- but most recently I've enjoyed frosting with graham crackers. The best gift my mother has ever given me is a tube of frosting when I was a missionary for my birthday).

2) Pizza (since I was a little girl pizza has probably been my favorite food. Over the years I have found some amazing gourmet pizza places all over the globe that have made me more of a pizza snob, but alas... it's time to say goodbye).

3) Sweets in general- Licorice, candy corn, sour patch kids, Hot Tamales. I normally don't eat these in mass quantity, but every once in awhile they are divine.

Food I'm saying hello to...

1) White Fish- not salmon
2) Melba toast
3) Fruits: Grapefruit, strawberries, apples (I've actually love strawberries and apples... so I'm happy they are staying)
4) Veggies: Spinach, chard, chicory, beetgreens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage
5) Veal
6) Chicken breast

now if I said who I was, it would ruin the fun, especially since you are already ruining all the fun cutting out all the wonderful foods of life. :-)

But if you want a hint, some call me the son of St. Nick, others Uncle Scrooge, but I may be most famous for stealing Christmas, but not for Baton Rouge.

I am known by some, recognized by all, which is curious because I'm not too tall.

A hint you have received, but be not deceived, it is probably he who you'd expect least of all.

what, no guesses, especially after that beautifully crafted hint; it rhymed and everything. oh well, what may be fun for me I guess isn't fun for you.

Don't think too hard, it's the weekend!
