Cubicle Decorating
At work I started a book club, we are currently reading The Art of Innovation, by Tom Kelley. This book gives ideas for innovation based off of the company IDEO (America's Leading Design Firm). One of the chapters talks about how you have to make your personal work space your own... so that you feel comfortable in an environment that accommodates creative thoughts. Good ideas we all thought... so... a couple of us at work took it to heart (even though we had to foot the bill, unlike IDEO). We decided to create a comfortable cubicle environment that reflects each of our personality. We each had themes and I choose the Great Outdoors... cuz I'm an outdoorsy chick and would MUCH rather play outside than work in a cubicle all day. So this is what I did... I strung stars and two Japanese lanterns over my desk. Then covered my cubicle walls with a gold-shimmery-meshy type material (to look like the suns reflection), and attached butterflies. Complete with a picture that I love... one that makes me feel like I'm staring at mountains and flowers... ahhhhh. Can life get much better (in a cubicle)?
For those interested... here are some other cubicles of people I work with...
So there you have it folks... for those who wanted to know what I do at work... now you know. :)

Above: This woman went with a Japanese theme.
Above: This is our artist, you can't really see it, but she bought chalkboards to go on her walls.
Above: This girl just announced she is pregnant and so that paper chain is how many days left she has.
Above: This woman likes to travel and so she has globes hanging.
Above: This woman went for a Greek look, you can't really see it, but the plant is sitting on top of a Greek column.
