Good Deed

Well- I've decided on a new dating method, it's call the match-making date. So here's the story... I was visiting my sister and family in Kansas, and had a date. He was a great guy! I knew I could like him, but could tell he wasn't feeling it.

A day or two passed and I thought about the situation. I finally said to myself... WWJD? Here is this guy in the middle of no where and I'm surrounded by great girls looking for a great guy. I should help him out.

I emailed him and told him that I had a great time, and not to worry, I could read dating signs, but thought he was a great guy and that every great guy should have people working on his side. I said I had a few girls I was thinking of introducing him to that might be just what he's looking for.

He emailed back... and he was in. Funny thing was, just that night I had gone to a church function and sat and talked with my visiting teacher, who is just a darling, petite little thing. Given her background, and having talked to him quite a bit before and during the date, I thought they might be a cute match. I emailed him back and sent a picture of the girl I was just chatting with. I also sent a picture of the guy to my friend. They both responded within minutes saying that they wanted to meet each other... so wa-la... there you go.

People have asked me since how I feel about it. I think I'd be lying if I said it was completely altruistic, but I do feel content knowing I might have helped someone find love. We're all searching for it... and hopefully, what goes around, comes around. :)
