Silence
This past weekend it was my brother's wedding. But one of the greatest things about it was enjoying the silence. I turned off my cell phone for most of the trip and just melted into my own world. One thing that happens to me often when I'm around family, especially weddings, is that I tend to not speak very much hoping to fade into the background. One of the highlights of the weekend was during Jared's reception, when all the hustle and bustle was swirling about. I looked over at the far end of the backyard and saw the most beautiful sunset. I walked over and just stood there for what seemed like an eternity. So many thoughts... normally I tend to stay in the moment until I have figured things out... but alas no clear decisions could be made... instead I saturated the aroma and just allowed things to be.
I'm so happy for my brother. It truly was one of the most tender things watching him in a somewhat frail state (due to health complications) take the woman he loves to the temple. To see their strength, faith, and love for one another. I hardly know what to say since I have come home. It is the first time in a long time I've been speechless.

Sorry to hear about your brother, that must be so rough on all of you.
Congrats on all of your achievements in recent years--it looks like you have been busy as all get out!
Take care--
