Relationship Update

Well, a few of you probably saw my FB status change to single. I have to say the nice thing about FB is it tells all of your friends the bad news for you... so you don't have to. Because, let's face it, when things don't go your way... you usually don't feel like talking about it.

But yes, I'm sad to report that me and my boyfriend of eight months have decided to break up. (sigh) I can't stand break ups... so much of your life becomes that person, and it is very painful to let go. And at my age it's just sad to wearily look at the future and try to say to yourself "ok, let's do this again... maybe this time."

I don't know if it's ever a good idea to write a blog about someone you aren't supposed to love anymore... so let's just say, it didn't work out. I love him dearly and wish him happiness.

That's the PC way of dealing with relationships.

Over the past five years I've watched men tell me that they can't seem to feel love in their life... and thus can't get married. They say it's not just me, but in every way they can't love. It brings more meaning to scriptures that talk about "hearts waxing cold" or "past-feeling." The stark contrast is that I'm a very loving person... and have lots of it to give. Oh, the irony of life.

I try to have faith and look to the future... but especially today, it's hard.
