Bath v. Shower
It's no secret... I love to take baths. It's one of the few simple pleasures I have left in this world. I was at Bath and Body Works last week and they had a sale on aromatherapy stress relief bubble bath and bath salts. Now even though I like baths, I have never really invested in the good bubbles. I always found it a little to extravagant to justify spending money on. But this last purchase was actually a gift, so...
Now I have to bear my testimony of the pure heaven brought by jetted tubs (thanks Lindsey), aromatherapy, bubbles, candles, and soft music. It's just dang sexy and so soothing. But this is just my opinion. I have had friends mock baths before, so I had to bring up the question... which is better? Let's make a case for each:

But this is just my opinion. I have had friends mock baths before, so I had to bring up the question... which is better? Let's make a case for each:
- Shower- Quick, practical. Most people subscribe to this due to the busy lifestyles we lead, so it is the most popular. But are those who take them just crowd-followers afraid NOT to do what the popular kids are doing? On the flip side, I remember that baths were more child like and when I was allowed to take showers when I was little was almost a rite of passage. So once you cross that threshold, is it reverting back to childlike ways to take a bath?
- Baths- Self-indulgent, long, more than just getting clean. Some people argue that you are stewing in your own filth when you bathe. Perhaps... but then again, maybe you are able to truly exfoliate because you are allowed to soak. Also, I would argue it is a way to debrief and unwind from an exhausting day.

Comments
I usually take baths if I am sore, exhausted or feeling too sick to stand. If it's not one of those things, I shower because I have a Katie bug out there running a muck, doing who knows what. Usually she continually pokes her head in to check on me or she will stand in the bathroom unrolling the whole toilet paper roll... so taking a bath is often more stressful than relaxing.
I don't know why guys don't like to take baths as much. It seems like after a hard workout they like to go find a hot tub or whirlpool, but not a bath for some reason. I understand why single guys might not be a fan of the tub...it never gets cleaned... I wouldn't want to sit in that moldy, soap scummy, hard water stained tub either.
Reminds me of the book, Mr. Pudgins.
